The Burundian Association of Surgery (ABUC) successfully wrapped up its XVIIth Surgery Congress held on October 26th and 27th, 2023, at the Royal Palace Hotel. Under the theme “Pediatric Surgery: Past, Present, and Future Perspectives”, this event was a resounding success, supported by the Ministry of Public Health and the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA), among other partners.
Participants were enthralled by 35 engaging presentations covering a wide range of topics, from roundtable discussions to talks on orthopedics, neurosurgery, urogynecology, neonatology, and general surgery, all focused on pediatric surgery.
